About this event

PRSA Philly's virtual Lunch & Learn series is designed to be group conversations exploring topics relevant to communications professionals working in corporate, agency and consulting environments.

The series features industry-leading experts from across the country delving deeper into topics we should all be well versed in as communicators. Each Lunch & Learn series is followed by a Q&A session, and we encourage attendees to continue the conversation by exploring the topic and its implications within your team and organization.

Whether you’re in your first five years as a communications pro, or a seasoned veteran, you’re currently considering a graduate degree program. Do you pursue a master’s degree in communication, and further sharpen your comms toolbox? Do you instead opt for a business school program, where you can learn more about commerce and its interconnectedness with communication, and running an agency?

Our expert panel will help decide which route is best for you:

  • That communication degree can help you strengthen your strategies skill sets, and widen your perspectives, allowing you to better communicate via a variety of channels.
  • A business degree aids with connecting a comms campaign to the business sector, better relate to the C-suite decision-making process, and the keys to starting your own agency.

Speakers:

  • Amy Way, Ph.D., director of graduate studies, associate professor, department of communication, Villanova University
  • Alan Kerzner, director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute, associate professor strategy, Temple University

Moderator:

  • Alen Beljin, senior public relations manager, Penske Transportation Solutions
